Rough cut caprail to shape and test fit

Here the caprail is rough cut. 1- Ripped 2x4 plank is clamped to sheer with forward scarf in place. 2- underside is marked along the sheer, inside and outside. 3- scarf is ground to better fit with small fillet is in cuddy caprail. 4- After rough cut with jigsaw, and belt sand, test fit the cut rail and clamp to determine clamping positions for the lamination (to pull down the board properly to the sheer).
