Rough cut and grind to sheer
Once cured, the final clamp layer is trimmed close to the sheer with a jigsaw, then belt sanded and block sanded down to the sheer to prep for the caprail install. Of course care must be taken with the jigsaw, since it is a deep cut, far from the base of the saw. I cut from the outside, though I could have cut from the inside. The blade was just long enough for the outside approach. Belt sanders cut fast also. More care taken.
