a better view of console top detail

The forward structure on the console top was originally going to be solid mahoghany, but it was too heavy. I put Doug fir inbetween two mahoghany plys ripped on the table saw. One quarter the weight and the doug fir looks very nice bright, but the top will be painted white with a thin line of mahoghany showing in the front and back of the structure. Else too hot under the sun when sitting up there!
