The neighbor's youngster was taking a nap. The jigsaw would be too noisy. The port doug fir bow cap was therefore rough hand sawn (much less noise), as it would be belt sanded after install anyway. The inside curve had to be fairly accurate. I got lazy on the top knowing the belt sander was available.
