Tabernacle - interior glassing sides get 12oz biax and 6 oz biax
|
After those two corners are wetout, a narrow strip of 12 oz is added to make the thickness uniform out to the edges. If I had wider biax, I may have done this all in one step with one piece, but it was awkward enough to keep the glass from falling off when doing all at once this way. I'm not worried about the loss of strength across the full width. The wood is plenty strong, and, a full piece of 6oz biax and 6oz cloth will also go over this. Recall that I may *try* some unstayed smaller rigs in this tabernacle, and wanted the structure overly strong. It is not a *closed box structure* so it needs strength in those corners and the sides to have the sort of strength of a C extrusion.
