Tabernacle front trim pieces have the glue line meticulously wiped clean
|
Surfaces are first coated with clear epoxy, and then mahogany wood dust is mixed in to make a hopefully near invisible line, since both trim and side panel will be bright. The glass on the side doesn't have the weave completely filled yet, so much care was taken to get the dark purple *glue* out of the weave and nice and clean right at the bond line. The resulting little bit of a glue bump ridge on the side of the trim piece will get sanded down when all cured.
