Shows the new deck support battens. Originally battens had been installed mistakenly following the top edges of the side panels. A router, grinder and sander made short but harrowing work of the original battens which where about 1-5/8" x 7/8" wood. These new battens are made from 2 layers of 3/8" plywood.
