the motor I got.

I gave it a run thru replaced a couple linkages, lubed it down, tended to the gear lube.. ran it a ton of times.. seems good to go..

I had to take about an inch+ off the transom. not sure the math didn't work out but I wanted the cav plate to fall at the bottom.
