fir 1x2's and white wood glue for now. If the idea works, I'll redo it in mahogany and epoxy. I figured I don't need the complexity of a folding or take-apart kayak cart, as space isn't as much a premium in a canoe. I also came up with a nifty ``kickstand'' to hold the cart upright, which is attached to the webbing so gets pulled up out of the way when you clip the webbing around the canoe. If it works...
