There are two boxes in the stern, these are for 18 gallon tanks that cost around $300 for both, the one tank suggested was $600 and no longer fits under the 12' floor. 36 gal VS 44 gal minus $ 300 seem good to me. The manufacture suggests not foaming the tank in and leaving ventalation space around it. Since the plans call for a step here I thought it a good place for an inspection port easy to reach and easy to step on.
