CB Slot Cap - t-nuts pulled into gripper pilot holes
|
As with the Mast Step block, the t-nuts are first pulled in a little, to mark the gripper locations. Then the gripper locations are drilled out a little to avoid surprise splitting. Finally, the t-nuts are pulled all the way into them, to shape them before epoxying. T-nuts are then removed for final prep. The entire screw hole, after cam cleat placement, is drilled one size larger to allow room for the epoxy seal. Additionally, the screw hole is drilled two sizes wider on the t-nut half of the hole to accomodate the barrel thickness, and the epoxy seal (use good judgement to avoid a sloppy fit).
