CB Slot Cap - a template guide was used again to start the inspection recesses
|
On the slot cap, after I drilled the vertical mount for the dowels, I then snapped the mount off the small 5 minute epoxy bonds on the cap very easily. The dowels will line things up for the final bond, and add more strength. The vertical mount has two bolts that will hold it down to the CB case. One of those bolts happens to be close to where the two *center* screws from the cam cleats exit the t-nuts. There is still enough wood left for strength after shaping and drilling (and partly why I have a mahogany laminate in the mount vertical). Time to make access reliefs with the forstner. Since no hole is drilled yet, I don't *need* the template to hold the bit's position, but used it anyway, to start the cuts.
