Boom Tent
Before leaving on the Watts Bar trip I quickly made up a boom cover to keep dew off the cockpit. I cut a hexagon shape to get more coverage down the centerline but still have the corners in line with existing cleats on the boat. I have two 5'6" long pieces of wood with nails in the ends. The nails go through grommets in the corners, bungies hook onto the nails, and then the bungies hook onto cleats on the boat. Very quick and very sturdy boomtent. Made a huge difference in my overnight comfort!
