Hatch detail

This picture shows the "gutter" formed by the inside coaming. Note also the HDPE strip. I often cross sheet from the leeward winch (one wrap) across to the windward winch. Both the helmsman and winch woman can sit side by side on the high side. This helps the wieght distribution and also allows the helmsman to tail for the winch woman.
